This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing modules.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit modules to customize them.
The left side has modules you can add!
Some modules you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some modules have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!

Hey buddy. I think I will take you up on that offer. Do you have to buy a program to design emoticons, or just download something. And how do you send comments and not just notes. I have more questions but I'll wait until you answer these, thank you and good night.
Regarding emoticons, there are several programs that would allow you to make an emote, I personally use Fireworks MX but I know of other emoticon artists that use Photoshop/ImageReady and Ulead GIF Animator. I know that the GIMP can handle making emotes and it's free, but when I gave it a try I had a hard time figuring it out Maybe you'd have better luck with that than me, though
About comments, I think it would be easier to think of it as "leaving" comments rather than "sending" comments. There are tons of different places you can leave a comment, on a user's page, on a piece of artwork, on an entry in their journal, basically anywhere you see a box that you can type in. The box is usually located below everyone else's comments, so if you see a bunch of comments on something you'd like to comment on then you should be able to scroll down to the bottom of the page and see a place for you to leave a comment.
The majority of comments you leave will result in the person being notified in their message centre, but there are exceptions. When you leave a comment on a person's main page they won't be notified (as you weren't notified when I left that first comment on your page), but if they reply to that comment then you will be notified (as I was notified of your reply with the questions), and if you should happen to reply to their reply they will be notified (as you are being notified of this particular comment). It's a little tricky, but the general rule of thumb is that people are always notified when someone replies to them.
The other place you can comment without the person being notified is in their poll. A person who has bought a subscription to deviantART has the ability to create polls where people can vote for various things. People can also leave comments on these polls, but for some strange reason deviantART doesn't notify the poll's creator about these comments and they have to go and look for them themselves.
Hope that cleared things up for you, let me know if there's any other way I can help
